EXCELLENT SUMMER CARE SUGGESTIONS

Introduction:

          Summer skin care habits are highly important for making our skin healthy and brighter, as well as keeping it away from direct sun exposure. Whatever skin care products you choose must be based solely on your skin type. It is preferable if you take them all on the advise of a dermatologist. 


Face Wash:

          During the summer, we must wash our faces two to three times. If we want to wash our faces again on the same day, we can do so with simple water. Wash your face with cold water rather than hot water. Washing your face with hot water might deplete your skin's natural oils.  Then our skin begins to shrink and becomes sagging. Even in our initial stages, we may appear older. If we have oily skin, we may prefer a foamy face cleanser. Those with dry skin should use a foamy face wash or a mild cleanser. It is preferable to use a gel-based cleanser rather than a cream-based cleanser. During the winter, we may use a cream-based cleanser. 


Sunscreen

          We should apply sunscreen to our skin 15 minutes before we leave the house. Sunscreen protects us against UV radiation in the sun, which can cause deep pigmentation, aging, and skin cancer. After washing our faces and applying moisturizer, we should apply sunscreen. Apply a mild oil-free moisturizer on your skin to keep it nourished without feeling oily. During the summer, those with dry skin can use a mild moisturizer. To soothe and calm your skin, look for skin care products that contain natural components such as aloe vera, cucumber, and green tea. Before using any natural therapy, perform a patch test to ensure there are no allergic reactions.


Peeling:

            Peeling can be done once every 10 days or once a week. Exfoliate gently to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. People with sensitive skin should see a doctor and use suitable peeling techniques. After that, apply moisturizer and sunscreen. 


Hydration:

          Drink two to three liters of water per day. It may also be taken in juice form. We stay hydrated by consuming enough of fluids such as water, coconut water, buttermilk, and freshly squeezed juices. However, it is best to avoid canned and processed juices. They are harmful to our health. Even if you use natural fruit juice, don't add too much sugar. Its inherent sweetness is sufficient for us. If we need more sweetness, we can add little bit sugar.

 

Liquid Foods:

          You can consume one tender coconut water each day. There is no need to take it in huge numbers because it includes potassium.

If we drink too much of it, the excess potassium enters our bodies. We should drink two to three liters of liquid food every day in the summer since it is vital not only for skin protection but also for kidney protection. Excessive dehydration might harm our body's interior organs. 

Avoid Excessive Perspiration:

          Throughout the day, use a face mist or facial spray to freshen and hydrate your skin. To relieve burnt skin, take a cool shower or apply a cold compress. Stay in air-conditioned or shaded areas during the hottest portion of the day to avoid excessive perspiration, which can contribute to breakouts.


Antioxidants

          We are usually outside more or for longer amounts of time throughout the summer. As a result, we are subjected to a great deal of UV radiation or environmental contamination. These elements can cause radicals to build on the surface of our skin, as well as premature aging and the development of skin cancer. So, in order to deal with these challenges, antioxidants are essential. Vitamins A, C, and E are antioxidant sources. So eat foods high in vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E. Certain foods, such as dark leafy greens, carrots, broccoli, strawberries, oranges, and almonds, naturally create antioxidants in our bodies. These are the antioxidant sources.


Makeup:

          Avoid wearing a lot of makeup. If we want it, we should use it sparingly. Similarly, when we get home, we should take off our makeup. Because of the heat, avoid going out between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Also, drink enough of fluids to ensure that your body is never dehydrated.


Other Approaches:

          To protect your face and eyes from direct sunlight, use a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses. To avoid sunburn, use a tightly woven cotton scarf. To avoid the spread of bacteria and breakouts, avoid touching your face with your hands.

          To keep your body cool, dress in light-colored, loose-fitting clothing made of natural fabrics. To avoid direct sunlight, wear a hat or an umbrella. Eat light, oily, and spicy foods as these can elevate your body temperature and promote dehydration. To avoid mosquito bites, which can cause diseases such as dengue and malaria, use a mosquito repellent. Protect yourself from damaging UV rays by installing UV filters in your house or office.

When you are fatigued from the heat, use ice packs or moist cloths to cool down your body. Finally, acquire enough rest and restoration time for your body.
